Christine Mirette Morris née Turnbull is a family historian and
author, she was born in Kent, south of the River Medway and is therefore
proud of her roots as a ‘Maid of Kent’. On leaving school
she worked for a time in her home town of Sittingbourne and then in London,
before joining the army. She is now married to Gareth, has four children
and six grandchildren.
On moving to East Anglia in 1973, she started researching her family history
as a hobby, over the years this has progressed very well, going back to
1555 on one line with the majority of others back to the 1700s. In 1999
she wrote her first book entitled Tracing Your Ancestors. She
now writes articles on the subject for Practical Family History. Christine
also sells forms and a folder to help you with your research, this is
called “Genfile” (click here for
more details).
